These terms cover buying from sovellelondon.com and using the site itself. Buying from us means you accept them.

Who we are

Ordering

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract between us starts when we send the despatch email, not when you check out. If we cannot fulfil an order — the piece sold out, the price was wrong, we cannot ship to you — we will say so and refund you in full.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably suspect fraud, where a listing carried an obvious pricing error, or where the delivery address is one we cannot ship to.

Prices and payment

• Prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where it applies.
• Delivery is charged separately and shown at checkout before you pay.
• We take payment at checkout through Shopify Payments, PayPal or Klarna. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never reach us.
• Klarna instalments are a credit agreement between you and Klarna, on their terms, not ours.

What you are buying

Our pieces are 925 sterling silver, plated in 18ct gold to a nominal 2 microns over a barrier layer, set with moissanite. They are plated, not solid gold, and we describe them that way everywhere. Photographs are taken and rendered as accurately as we can manage; screens vary, and small variations between pieces are part of hand-finished jewellery rather than a fault.

Buy-back guarantee

Own a piece for twelve months and we will buy it back for 40 to 50 per cent of what you paid for it. These are the terms of that offer.

• It applies to pieces bought directly from sovellelondon.com, twelve months or more after the delivery date, for as long as we are trading.
• You need the order number and, ideally, the authenticity card. The card is how we identify the piece quickly.
• Where the piece lands inside the 40 to 50 per cent range is decided by its condition when it reaches us. We tell you the figure before you commit to anything, and you are free to say no and have the piece sent back to you.
• The value is paid as Sovelle credit, not cash. Credit does not expire, can be spent on anything we sell, and can be passed to someone else to spend.
• A piece bought with credit can be bought back again on the same terms, calculated on the credit value used.
• We cannot buy back a piece that has been damaged beyond ordinary wear, altered, resized, re-plated by someone else, or that is not ours.

Gift cards

• Gift cards are delivered by email and can be spent on anything we sell.
• They cannot be exchanged for cash and are not refundable.
• They are valid for at least twelve months from the date of purchase.
• If an order costs more than the card, pay the difference by card at checkout. If it costs less, the balance stays on the card.

Using the site

The site, its words, its photographs and the Sovelle marks belong to us. Read them, share a link, quote a line with credit. Do not copy the site, scrape it, resell its images or pass our designs off as your own.

Our responsibility to you

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else it would be unlawful to exclude. Beyond that, we are responsible for loss you could reasonably have expected when you ordered, and not for indirect or consequential loss.

If something goes wrong

Email us first. We read everything and reply within one working day, and almost everything is settled that way. If it is not, these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
